These terms apply when you use PalmPay — the app, the website and the PalmPay machines at stores. PalmPay is operated by [registered business name], [registered address] (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or paying with PalmPay you agree to them.
1. What PalmPay does
PalmPay lets you pay at participating stores with your palm and a PIN, from a PalmPay balance you add money to. Stores also use PalmPay to take cash, UPI and app orders. Each store is an independent business: it sells you the goods, sets their prices and is responsible for them. We provide the payment and ordering service.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to open an account. Children under 18 can only use PalmPay as a family member added by their parent or legal guardian, who gives consent for them and is responsible for their use.
- Give us correct details and keep your mobile number up to date — we send codes to it.
- Keep your PIN secret. Every payment needs your palm and your PIN. Tell us at once if you think someone knows it; we aren't responsible for payments made with your palm and PIN before you tell us.
- After several wrong PINs your account locks for a while, for your protection.
3. Your PalmPay balance
- You can add money by UPI or card (processed by our payment partner, Razorpay), or with cash at a participating store. Limits on how much you can add or hold may apply and are shown in the app.
- The balance is for paying at participating stores. It earns no interest and can only be moved within your own family on PalmPay.
- Store credit is given by a particular store (for example as a refund) and can only be used at that store.
- If you close your account, we refund your remaining balance to your bank account or the payment method it came from, after confirming it's you, within 30 days.
- We may hold or reverse a payment or a top-up if we reasonably suspect fraud or a mistake, and will tell you why.
4. Paying and ordering
- Prices, offers and taxes are set by the store and shown before you pay.
- We don't charge you for paying with PalmPay, unless a charge is shown to you before you confirm.
- App orders and catering orders are accepted, prepared and delivered (or handed over) by the store. See our Cancellation & refunds and Delivery policies.
- 18+ items such as tobacco or alcohol are sold only at the store counter, after the cashier checks your ID — never to children's accounts, and never online.
5. Family members
The account holder can add family members, set their spending limits and move money between family wallets. The account holder is responsible for the family members they add and for children's use of PalmPay.
6. What you must not do
- Use someone else's palm, PIN or account, or let others use yours.
- Use PalmPay for anything illegal, to launder money, or to buy goods that may not legally be sold to you.
- Try to break, copy or interfere with the service, the apps or the machines.
7. Suspension and closing
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or to protect you or others; any balance is then handled as in section 3.
8. Our responsibility
We work to keep PalmPay available and secure, but can't promise it will never be interrupted. We're not responsible for the goods a store sells you, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first — most problems are solved quickly. Courts at the city of our registered office have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll tell you about important changes in the app before they take effect.
